Being the essential need for people to live on, the grain has the incomparable significance on both the society and politician, the grain has unparalleled social and political significances. At basis of using archival documents and first-hand survey data, I select the grain prices of Shandong Province to carry out regional research issues, reappear the social political and economic environment of Shandong from 1912 to 1949, reflect grain price change situation directly by using reliable data and form, analysis different region's gain price by introducing the local price-rate,and find the gain price change rule of Shandong: Shandong grain price was steady and rising from first year of Republic of China to the eve of the Sino-Japanese War; when Sino-Japanese War started,Shandong grain price rised slowly, but after then, the change becomed sharply and suddenly even crazily. From 1911 Revolution to Sino-Japanese War eve, Shandong grain price once in a while had the relatively stable aspect, but it last extremely short.Generally speaking, Shandong gain price rised continuously.Especially from the Sino-Japanese Wa started, Shandong grain price rised sharply even crazily, the regional price difference was more obvious. This kind of history phenomenon is rare and caused by many varied reasons, including both the internal cause and the external factor; the undulation of grain price was limited by the economic law and influenced by social politics. In turn, the undulation of grain price had the huge influence to every aspect Shandong society.Grain price question appeared to be in the economic category, but it also deeply reflected the modern China's social question.
