The Development Of The Traditional Folk Arts And Crafts, In The Context Of Creative Industries

In the development of human history, human beings have created abundant of non material cultural heritages. They are the fruits of human's creativity, imagination, wisdom and labor, displaying the cultural diversity. In the process of global economic integration and speedy modernization, the inheriting and protection of these non material cultural heritages become one of the most importation tasks for human's sustainable development.When we got into the industrial society, the traditional folk arts and crafts are quite alien to the current post-industry culture because they are planted in the traditional agricultural culture. They have great difficulties in taking a step in its development, even are in the danger of disappearance. Therefore, the preservation and protection of these non material cultural heritages attract more and more attentions.As a traditional local folk art, Wenzhou glutinous rice sculpture is in the same plight with many other traditional folk arts and crafts, but its deep cultural connotation and high art value show that we should preserve, protect and develop it well. We discuss in this paper that how to do it in light of creative industry by means of consulting document debase, interviewing folk artists, investigating its current situation, and inducting its protecting and developing ways. We believe our discussions have certain of referential help to other traditional folk arts and crafts in the same way.
