Fuzzy phenomena exist in language and fuzziness is one of the essential attributes of natural language. Fuzzy language plays an important role in communication for the reason that it makes expressions more accurate, flexible and vivid. Fuzzy language has become the object of scientific research of different fields, such as science, social philosophy, education theory and so on. Therefore, the linguistics began to treat fuzzy language as its new research object.Language is a cultural phenomenon and it is the significant bearer of culture. Language is an important component of national culture as well as the main mean of its construction and transmission. Fuzzy language is closely linked to national culture, Russia and Chinese fuzzy language is also deeply influenced by national culture.The national cultures of Russia and China are reflected in the Russian and Chinese fuzzy languages. The differences of their national cultures result in the distinctive characteristics of their fuzzy languages. The comparative study of the Russian and Chinese fuzzy languages from the perspective of national culture is useful for further study on differences of the Russian and Chinese fuzzy languages.Using fuzzy language as material, comparison as research method, this paper illustrates fuzzy language from the perspective of national culture. On the one hand, it provides a new way for the study of fuzzy language from the perspective of national culture; on the other, it promotes the intercultural communication between Russian and Chinese.The paper can be divided into four parts:Part One The research history of fuzzy language and the current situation of its research.Part Two The theoretical foundation of the research on fuzzy language. In this part the author defines"fuzzy language"and"fuzziness", differentiate among fuzziness, generality, polysemy and ambiguity. Moreover, she briefly introduces the theoretical foundation of contrastive linguistics.Part Three It is the main part of this paper. The main content of this part is the constrative analysis of the differences of the Russian and Chinese fuzzy languages. Using the examples of Russian and Chinese, the analysis is conducted in the aspects of semantics, pragmatics and rhetoric.Part Four Combining to the third part, this part analyze in depth the national culture root of the differences between the Russian and Chinese fuzzy languages in terms of geographical environment, economic pattern, religious belief and way of thinking.
