Fuzziness is an inherent property of nature language, and fuzzy language widely exists inhuman languages. As a version of language, advertisement of course holds a lot of fuzzylanguage in it, which can be a non-ignorable obstacle in communication and translation. Thus,in order to better translate fuzzy language in English advertisement and promote culturalcommunication, this thesis, taking fuzzy language in English advertisement as the researchobject, discusses the rationality, pragmatic functions and categories of fuzzy language inEnglish advertisement. And on the basis of Nida’s Functional Equivalence theory, severaltranslation strategies of fuzzy language are analyzed and discussed. Meanwhile, throughvolumes of advertisement cases, rationality and feasibility of such strategies are proved.
