Binbai is the organic ingredient of drama literature and drama performance. There have always been spoken that heavy bai light singing. So that binbai is in important position in drama art.however, because of binbai's history and some reasons of it's own development, people is short comparatively to binbai's attention, and the dramatic circles havn't done enough research on binbai which causes binbai to be in blurred state in many fields.The article takes binbai as an object of studying in order to card the track of its Development and changes and theoretical study, list aesthetic characteristics and function systematically, and try to defined the conception boundary.The article is composed of four sections of composition. The first chapter is mainly defineding binbai'conception , discussing its implication ,exploring of author , types and the difference between buffoonery and binbai mainly.The second chapter is to set forth the binbai Development and changes . It analyses the transformation of binbais'development in three historical period of Yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties. The binbais was popular and essenced in Yuan drama. In Ming legend and duama it became elegant. And The characteristic of literator is comparatively obvious in Qing legend and drama, infiltrated by Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism's Influence.The third chapter discuss the point of view from the spoken parts'aesthetic characteristics. As a language of the drama , binbai need to have some characteristic on action and individuation, for driving development of story polt and molding the characters. Besides,the spoken parts has a certain sence of rhythm and melody in which the binbai is different with western drama language.The fourth chapter analyses the function and performance of binbai. Binbai is used for narrative,so that narrative is a main function of the binbai. Connecting with the melody makes it having more characteristics of modulating in the drama and venting people's emotion.
