This article is based on the object of teacher education study in Jiangsu in 1897—1922。During five thousand years of civilization in the history of China,the respect for teachers has been the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation,and people have paid attention to"moral Road Arts and seek"。But there is no specific teacher training in educational institutions。In 1897, Shanghai Nanyang Institute of Teachers College was founded。Jiangsu province opened a prelude to teacher education in modern times。As well as in modern China,the prelude to teacher education has been opened。Teacher education in modern China is accompanied by the birth of the modern education system started in the late Qing government,and the national government promulgated the initial teacher education。The establishment of teacher education in modern China began to rise and develop initially。Teacher education in modern times took the lead in the development of Jiangsu province which opened the first national teacher education。Against the back drop of teacher education's rise all over the country,teacher education developed rapidly。After the Opium War,the Chinese people suffering the outside and inside shame began to seek self-improvement under the thought of Saving the Nation through education。Among many factors such as driven strongly by the people with lofty ideals,modern education has been in the gradual emergency。Wide range of the establishment of new schools inevitably demanded a large number of teachers of modern times。In 1897,Jiangsu had the first normal school。After it,teacher education institutions at all levels in different provinces started to be set up。Jiangsu's rapid development of teacher education in modern times began to take shape across the country。In late Qing Dynasty,Jiangsu's teacher education experienced the difficult development process from scratch and from small to large。And it had made considerable progress and outstanding achievements for the cause of transporting a large number of teachers in Jiangsu,so as to promote the reform and development of traditional education and socio-economic in Jiangsu。During this process,the formation of teacher education in Jiangsu owned its unique characteristics,such as starting firstly,very rapid development,system integrity,leading the women's teacher education and so on。At that time,due to unstable social environment,lack of funding for education and many other adverse factors,Jiangsu teacher education in the developing process is inevitable that there have been some issues with certain limitations。However,through the development in twenty years during The end of Qing Dynasty to early years of the Republic,Jiangsu had basically built complete system of teacher education and formed the distinctive pattern which was set up independently。Drinking from the water source and drawing lessons from history,the development of teacher education in Jiangsu at The end of Qing Dynasty provides a reference to the reform and development of current teacher education in China。...
