As a pioneer in the spread of education reform in modern China,Education Research was one of the important publications to study the development of education in Jiangsu in the early period of the Republic of China.From the beginning of publication in 1913 to the suspension of publication in 1916,Educational Research adhered to the purpose of "previously edited,can not get the true meaning of education,and is intended to seek new experience and new theories in the education field",and carried out the "new education" idea,the promotion and exploration of various "new education" reform practices,while adapting to the objective needs of education development at the time,promoted the reform and development of new education,contributed to the dissemination of "new education" ideas,and promoted the people reform and development of primary education.The research on the new education reform and the birth of Education Research at the beginning of the Republic of China shows the era background of the "new education" reform and the social background of the vigorous development of educational publications.It is considered that the birth and spread of the "new education" thought is a historical necessity,and the birth of Education Research in Jiangsu is the general trend.This inevitability comes from factors such as the social environment,political and economic changes,and ideological and cultural foundations at the time;research on the content of the "new education" ideological dissemination in Educational Research;The dissemination of the five aspects of constructive thought,new teaching method reform thought,western education tide and local new education activities are discussed separately.The study of the "new education" thought transmission method in Education Research reveals its transmission form.The richness of the program is demonstrated in its flexible and elaborate columns,appropriate and practical advertisements,innovative layout of the layout design,generosity and novelty,and scientific setting of communication issues.The study of the value and limitations of the publication of Education Research,the journal is an attempt to change from the old to the new.It has the meaning of propaganda and enlightenment to open up the wisdom of the people,and has progressive significance in "cultivating" new people,saving the country through education,promoting the practical application of education,and advancing the modernization of education in China.However,the limitations of the Journal of Educational Research are reflected in the lack of systematic science,resulting in limited communication influence,leaning towards conservative utility,and leading to incomplete and incomplete education reform.But in general,Education Research still has practical significance and enlightenment for the construction of current educational journals and the current educational development.
