Analysis Of U.s. Cultural Diplomacy And Its Impact

US cultural diplomacy has made a huge difference in building diplomatic relation between China and US, and brought certain impact on Chinese society. Among researches that have been made, this topic has not been studied completely and systematically. Research on the US cultural diplomatic strategy to China is conducive to expend understanding towards traditional concept of diplomacy and helpful to reinforce the cultural diplomacy with Chinese characteristics. On this basis, this thesis gives its viewpoint in the following four parts:Part one, the concept of cultural diplomacy and the essence of US cultural diplomacy. Define the concept of cultural diplomacy and analyse the essence of US cultural diplomacy through what appears to be.Part two, content of US cultural diplomatic strategy. By case study-how ideology affects US cultural diplomacy in history, how Fulbright Bill indicates US educational exchange with China and how Ford Foundation shows the influence of US philanthropic foundation's sport and donation on China, the essence of its cultural diplomacy is further studied.Part three, the influence of US cultural diplomatic strategy. US uses its cultural diplomacy to influence the world, China and itself in developing the relation between these two countries, that is, promotes the normalization of the relation and expends cultural exchange, but also sheds shadow on China's cultural safety.Part four, conclusion. By drawing a conclusion to the above-mentioned issue, plans on how China makes reaction are proposed.
