The Historical Evolution And Analysis Of Cultural Diplomacy Between China And Japan Since The Establishment Of Their Diplomatic Relations

Cultural diplomacy has always been an important part of Sino-Japanese diplomatic relations.And the culture itself is the core elements of today’s comprehensive national strength competition,cultural diplomacy is regarded as an important tool for shaping the image of the country and realizing national interests.Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Japan in 1972 has gone through more than 40 years,the cultural and diplomatic practice carried out between the two countries has different manifestations and characteristics at different historical stages,and has played a different role in the development of bilateral relations.This paper is based on the history of cultural diplomacy between the two countries since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Japan.It aims to analyze and compare the cultural and diplomatic development of the two countries,analyze and compare the similarities and differences between cultural diplomacy,Build the image of the country and promote the healthy development of Sino-Japanese relations to provide reference and inspiration.The first part mainly elaborates the cultural diplomacy and its related theories.First of all,on the basis of understanding the existing research,the cultural diplomacy is defined accurately.expound its connotation elements,analyze the characteristics and function of cultural diplomacy;Secondly,analyze the cultural diplomacy and other similar diplomatic concepts and analyze the relationship between cultural diplomacy and other diplomacy.The second part mainly introduces the general situation of Sino-Japanese cultural diplomacy.First,the paper summarizes the cultural diplomacy of Chinese culture,analyzes the relevant strategies and policies of Chinese cultural diplomacy,introduces the main actors of cultural diplomacy in China,and briefly expounds the development course of Chinese cultural diplomacy.Secondly,the paper summarizes the Japanese cultural diplomacy,discusses the relevant strategies and policies of Japanese cultural diplomacy and the main actors of cultural diplomacy in Japan,and expounds the development course of Japanese cultural diplomacy.This part mainlygrasps the basic situation and general characteristics of cultural diplomacy between China and Japan,and provides the foundation for the further analysis.The third part provide the in-depth analysis of the interaction of historical and cultural diplomacy between the two countries since the establishment of diplomatic relations in Japan.Firstly,in this part,according to its characteristics change,the cultural and diplomatic interaction of more than 40 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations is divided into three historical stages:Budding period(1972-1978),all-round development period(1978-1991),China’s steady development period and Japan’s deepening and adjustment period(1991-present).The main basis of the division is that some important historical events have had a significant impact on the diplomatic strategy,the level and direction of cultural diplomacy and the Sino-Japanese cultural relations between China and Japan,so that cultural diplomacy between the two countries shows in different historical periods Different characteristics.The fourth part mainly analyzes the four historical stages of Sino-Japanese cultural diplomacy and explores the enlightenment of Sino-Japanese cultural diplomacy history.First of all,the analysis of Sino-Japanese cultural diplomacy in Sino-Japanese relations in the status and role.Secondly,by examining the evolution of cultural diplomacy between China and Japan,analyze the factors that affect the change and adjustment of cultural diplomacy between the two countries.Thirdly,this paper attempts to put forward the three process of cultural diplomacy as an analytical framework to analyze the mechanism and process of cultural diplomacy,with the process theory of cultural diplomacy,this paper analyzes and compare the similarities and differences between Chinese and Japanese cultural diplomacy.Finally,based on the above analysis,summed up the Sino-Japanese cultural diplomacy history of China’s cultural diplomacy inspiration for the future development of Chinese cultural diplomacy to provide reference and basis.
