Preliminary Study On The Origin Of Miao Choir Bel Canto And Small Wells

In chinese academic circles have a consensus for the introduction of Bel canto: it was introducted by a number of overseas studying background like ZhouShuAn etc. in the 1920s. But the author has different opinions from the investigation of"Xiaoshuijing"choir in Fumin country in Yunnan province. The author compared the traditional Bel canto elements with the singing philosophy of"Xiaoshuijing"choir and got a conclusion: they have the same system of the same source of the same nationality in singing method and breath use etc. After the study of the spread of the Christian hymns in Dianbei Miao area and doing textual for relevant historical evidence and getting the conclusion, we have good reason to believe that :the time can be twenty years in advance about Bel canto really introducted into China, which is the beginning of the Christian missionary came to Dianbei Miao area.
