Cultural Similarities And Differences Between English And Chinese, English And Chinese Idioms

Idioms play an important part in languages. Both English idioms and Chinese idioms carry cultural features and information of different nations, also they are closely related to their cultures and traditions. For language learners, it is very helpful to learn the origin of English and Chinese idioms and make a comparison between the cultural differences reflected by the idioms. This dissertation analyzes and compares the cultural differences in seven aspects such as geographical environment, historical development, religion and so on.
