Eastern Yugur Language Grid Study

Eastern Yugur is one language of the Mongolic Group in Altai language family.The research on the Eastern Yugur was just concerned by the researchers at home and abroad from 1939 the year that Kotwicz,a Finnish famous linguist, published "The Mongolian spoken by Uighur near the Ganzhou".After national founding,the fifth minority languages surveying group leaded by Qing ger tai at Chinese Academy of Sciences systematically investigated the Eastern Yugur from 1955 to 1956.The researchers at the Mongolian Institute of Inner Mongolia University more comprehensively surveyed the Eastern Yugur according to a uniform research outline from June to October in 1980.The author went to the Eastern Yugur district and went on the fieldwork in 2007.Then,based on the raw materials and language materials from field survey,she analyzed,complemented and perfected some problems which existed during the researching work on the Eastern Yugur and compared it with Mongolian as far as possible.In the process of the degree paper writing,the author not only assimilated the scholars' research fruits but stated her own points.The case in Eastern Yugur was classified as Nominative case,genitive case,dativelocative case,accusative case,ablative case,instrumental case,comitative case,direction case according to its form and meaning.Genitive-accusative case was classified as genitive case and accusative case.And the author figured out that the form -i:n of the Genitive-accusative case which was proposed by the scholars should simultaneously express the meanings of genitive case and accusative case. But the form -(?) only expresses accusative case meaning,the form -n only expresses genitive case meaning,accusative case has the form -i:-g(?) as well, Possessive case also has the forms -n(?) -nai.About the dative-locative case form, the forms-t(?)r/-t(?)r/-tur/-t(?)r -dur/-d(?)r of it were first projected which were not in the predecessors' documents.In the respect of the case meaning,accusative case in Eastern Yugur indicates tool meaning,dative-locative case indicates the meanings of becoming something,direct object,departing and leaving,besides shows the unique characteristic of the special meaning of strengthening.
