Chronicle "hu Note Military History On The Study

Based on investigating a large amount of documents,including historicism of military thoughts in"Hu sanxing's comments on Zizhitongjian", the paper firstly analyses his military thoughts from four aspects: the views on war, strategic thoughts, tactical thoughts and others factors in wining or failure during the war. Then, the paper summarizes the characteristics of Hu sanxing's military thoughts based on the facts of political situation in Song Dynasty and Hu sanxing's life undergoing. The paper also points out some shortcomings existing in Hu sanxing's military thoughts and makes an proper analysis on the self-contradiction points, including the tend to exaggerate the disparity of arms and geography factors. Furthermore, the matter-of-fact writing style in"Hu sanxing's comments on Zizhitongjian"also brings nominal independence and theoretical weak. In the fourth part of the paper, significance of the studying of Hu sanxing's military thoughts is discussed. It extends the current knowledge on the studying of Hu sanxing's ideological sphere and the military thoughts of"the east part of ZheJiang school"in Southern Song Dynasty, it also expands the research scope on the phenomenon of"men of letters give talks about warfare"in Song Dynasty. No final conclusion has yet been reached on the opinion of"Three Strategies for Conservation of Changjiang"rooted in Hu sanxing proposed by Wang lixin. The author also puts forward his own opinion on this dispute case in the appendix.
