Each language has its own color language. In the long historical process, the formation of color language has undergone a long process of evolution and continued development, and it's associated cultural background produce a number of symbolic understandings of the vocabulary. It can be said that color language is the best reflection of cultural understanding. As color influenced by the different culture, values and beliefs, each nation has different cultural awareness. (Therefore,) although every nation shares the same basic knowledge of the physical characteristics of the color, the symbolism given are not the same.Although China and South Korea belong to the same culture circles, for the different ways of thinking and behavior, there are many different between the two color languages.This.study selected the most typical example in China and South Korea and limited its scope to four colors which is red, yellow, white, and black. Through the most four representative words, compare the cultural symbol sense of China and South Korea's.The article consists of four parts that:Introduction to illustrate the purpose of the study, scope and methods.As a theoretical basis for this study, the first chapter discussed the relationship between language and culture, summarized previous research results and made a simple comment.Chapter 2 and Chapter 5 studied the words expressing red,yellow,white and black in China and South Korea and analyzed the cultural Significance in these color language. Contrasted the meaning and usage in these color language between China and South Korea, explained the social and cultural background (or the society and culture)to the angle between the two countries.Chapter 6:summarizes. Through this research, we believe it must give some help for the Koreans who learn Chinese and the Chinese who learn Korean when learning the deep meaning of the related words.
