It has been a long time since there were embodiment of colors in drawing, whose art features and spiritual core also go changing with the time, reaching the developing peak in Suitang dynasty while went through a course of peak, feeble and revival. This thesis embarks on the new angle of color embodiment in landscape painting, combining the color manifestation as well as spiritual meaning with the historical background and time concept to study together, aiming at a more comprehensive research in the color development of landscape painting and the perspective of modern painting colors.This thesis firstly tidies up the color embodiment in drawing from landscape history angle, through doing staging discourse, works analyse and color feature research of traditional and modern heavy color landscape and typical painter. On one hand, to know their art stand and thinking roots, what follow next to search the casting from traditional heavy color landscape to modern ones, appearing clearly the sequence of colors in different times; On another hand, to know the historical situation that the color existed and expound the important part that color play in drawing, making the research direction and topic meaning of this thesis. Through researching the influence the times background, history and cultural standpoint made to the forming of color concept, and researching the traditional painters'efforts done in different times, to show the relationship between modern painting topic and its art achievement and political ideas. At the same time of appealing the society to have proper evaluation and historical position of traditional painters, showing heavy color creation's active meaning to modern society, by which evoke the society and researchers'attention to modern heavy color creation.The expression of thinking and aesthetics by painters is flooded in whatever time's works. Although going through peak and weak, colors still play an important part in paintings. This thesis also has an total arrangement that centres on two lines of traditional and modern times from the color aspect, and sums up the changes taken in Chinese heavy color painting about times spirit, social surrounding and modern meaning and so on, showing the great attention paid to modern painting colors and taking outlook of the perspective of landscape color.
