Discussion On Tango Music

Astor Pantale o n Piazzolla(1921-1992), who was born in Argentina.He is the famous bandoneon performer and tango composer in the world. He was been called the "Father Of Argentina Tango" as the founder of the New Tango,the new tango music that he has produced was been called the "Holy Bible Of New Tango".He is the symbol of the South America civilization.The biggest contribution he had made is to mix classical music and jazz music into Argentina traditional tango and call it "New Tango".The new tango music he did is not only intrepid but also rebel.May be it shows tasteful and graceful or gentl and soft,even a sence of sweet and sad.Just as the special temperament of difference from others,his new tango music were played widely by many artists and developed great well in the world.It has made great active effects to the world music.He made the tango stand onto the world stage and rich the accordion music.This paper will be divided directly into four parts of Piazzolla new tango to discuss.The first part,the origin and development of tango,and discuss it form tango music,tango dancing and songs.The second part, Piazzolla——all his life and the new sound of tango——Bandoneon.The third part,analyse his two works《Libertango》and《Oblivion》comprehensively from musical form,write technique and playing style. The forth part,summarize the characteristic of Piazzolla new tango music.Analyse the substance of his works will do great effects to understand Piazzolla new tango music well and it can do d great effects to grasp the new tango music style in playing.
