As the flourishingly development of TCSL, the focus of teaching have been diverted from the only "listening", "speaking" to "listening", "speaking", "reading" and "writing" balanced development. However, we have used the "Audio-Lingual Method" for quite a long time, so compared with other language skills teaching, our research on Chinese writing and Chinese writing textbook started late. The inadequate research achievements can not meet the needs of rapid development of writing course of TCSL. Meanwhile, the theory and criticism on writing materials prepared is still in its early stage. This paper compared two practical Chinese writing textbook on the base of recognizing the importance of Foreign language writing research. We use the methods of comparative analysis of corpus samples to discuss the issues in writing course of TCSL.The first chapter is introduction part. It introduces the reason, scope method and the new points of this research at first; and then it concludes the current situation on second language writing research.The second chapter is the specific comparison of "Experiencing Chinese Writing Tutorial" and "Chinese Writing Tutorial" these two textbooks. It first sums up the characteristics, tasks, problems and the status of writing teaching materials in TCSL. Then from the teaching program, the main part and the appendix three aspects of the two materials for a full range of comparative analysis.The third chapter proposes some ideas on the construction of writing textbooks in TCSL. Its analysis of these two textbooks is based on the conclusion of the principles which are supplied by former researchers. At last, it promotes my own suggestions about compiling Chinese writing textbooks in the fields of TCSL. It points out that the Chinese writing textbooks are not only prepared to follow the general principles of textbook compiling but also considers the characteristics and difficulties of Chinese writing course. The textbooks must compiled in line with the general school hours arrangements and embodies the feature and use of writing skills which can mobilize the interest and enthusiasm of students.The final chapter is a summary of this study which looks into the future of the writing textbooks in TCSL.According to comparing the "experience of Chinese Writing Tutorial" and "Chinese Writing Tutorial" at the various elements, we hope to provide some reference for the future preparation of the writing textbooks in TCSL.
