| With the continuous development of foreign language teaching and learning, thecause of number of foreigners learning Chinese is growing, research on TeachingChinese is richer and richer, teaching Chinese to foreign language teaching is animportant part, it’s also the weakest link. This is due to the characteristics of Chinesecharacters themselves lead characters difficult to learn, to remember, and to recognize.At present study of a foreign language characters teaching is not enough, the study ofthe characters materials are very few, materials is an important medium for teachingChinese as a Foreign Language, it’s also an effective tool for foreign learners ofChinese, Teaching a foreign language characters is directly related to the effectivenessof teaching Chinese as a Foreign.The current foreign language of Chinese characters teaching are two majorcategories, one is based on "word-based" thinking as the main teaching Chinese as aForeign Independent, such as systematic Chinese character, characters breakthrough,etc. Another theory is subject to the influence of Western "word-based" with the textliteracy class materials, such as fun characters, characters and reading textbooks, etc.Such materials are learning Chinese characters in reading, writing, the advantage isthat learners can mobilize foreigners interests, but the downside is that will cause theforeign learners of Chinese characters unsystematic, overlook the importance oflearning Chinese characters, text with literacy class of teaching Chinese as a foreignlearner is likely to cause emphasis foreign "language" and look down "word". The"word-based" as the main characters standalone learning as a fundamental teachingChinese characters, learning Chinese systematically, is more conducive to foreignlearners’ awareness, understanding, grasp the characters.In this paper, on the basis of external characters textbooks, learning Chinesecharacters by comparing two system-independent characters textbooks CharacterTutorial and Systematic characters. From the aspects of writing principles, writingstyle, practice settings, and analyze the advantages and disadvantages, wish to be ableto provide a reference for the selection and use of materials by Chinese characters,and some suggestions from the perspective of characters teaching practice, hoping toprovide a valuable reference for future foreign language textbooks written in Chinesecharacters and revision. |
