Zheng Feng and Chen Feng are the parts of The Book of Poems .The East Gate poetry is an important element of them.There is no one scholar who has studied it from comprehensive Respects and multi-angles. Basesd on this ,this thesis about the East Gate Poetry made a comprehensive, in-depth and systematic study. Thesis is divided into four parts.The first part ,The Interpretataion about the East Gate Poetry by the representatative Confucion Classists of successive Dynasties, elaborates the interpretation that has been made by the representative confucian classicists from the WestHan Dynasty,trying to outline a history of poetry interpretation of the East Gate poetry .It is divided into four stages:1,From the West Han Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty . the books of Han Dynasty about The East Gate poetry Interpretations are Mao Shi Xu,"Mao Shi Gu Xun Zhuan and Mao Shi Zhuan Jian (followed by the Mao Xu,Mao Zhuan And Zheng Jian) . The confucian classicists of Han Dynesty made the East Gate Poetry stain history of the two countries ,which is wrong. They all took it as a means of propagating the Confucian School thought.The Confucian classists from the Wei Desnasty to the Tang Dynesty essentially carried out the traditions of the Han Dynesty.KongYingDa achieved great success.2,The Song Dynesty and the Yuan Dynasty period:The characteristics of the interpretation of this period are censuring Mao Xu and defending traditional moral principles. The delegates were Ou Yang Xiu ,Wang Zhi ,Zhu Xi etc . They basically started from the original meanings of the East Gate Poetry.At the same time,they respected the poems that reflect romantic love as obscene poems.The interpretation of the Yuan followed the historical romance of Zhu Xi Shi Ji Zhuan. there are no achievements 3, the Interpretation of the Ming Dynasty. The Confucian classicists of the Qing Dynesty can be divided into two groups ,textual group and independent thinking group. The former paid attention to exegetical studies and took Mao Xu as standars of explaining it .The latter tried hard to remove the interferences of Mao Xu and Mao Zhuan .They could appeciate it from literature angle,Then have achieved success.The second part,The Social connotation of the the East Gate Poetry ,discusses political style ,aesthetic and society life that the the East Gate Poetry embodies. The East Gate Poetry has a distinctive feeling fundamental key-joyous and happy ,including their political style, social life, Reflecting the aesthetic ideas of local people at that time and the unique regional characteristics.The third part,The Cultural Implications of the East Gate Poetry ,discusses the influnence broght by Dong Yi culture,Zhou culture and Ba Chu culture,such as optimism and happiness ,various marriage fashion. The fouth part ,The Literary Achievement of the East Gate Poetry ,discusses the literary characteristics of the East Gate Poetry,such as realistic artistic method ,the using of Fu,Bi,Xing technique,language,sentence pattern, based on the last parts.The four parts are independent but interrelated, being an organic whole. Only with a comprehensive, intuitive understanding, can we go further ,making an in-depth step of study.
