Hereafter the social private power consciousness started to ferment, many creation prohibitions in the literary field were broken gradually, the artistic creation met the unprecedented prosperity Approximately from Cheng Hua to the Jiajing year (1465--1566), in Wumen (now Suzhou),where there is developed economy and a galaxy of painting talents, emerged Shen Zhou, Wen Zhengming as representative painters of the group which is called "the Wumen picture faction"by the later generation. they substituted the college style and Zhejiang faction for the spirited state of mind and led the painting trend,pushing the painting of Ming Dynasty to a peak. Shen Zhou, Wen Zhengming, Tang Yin, Qiu Ying as the typical painters of Wu faction, compromising the the imperial painting and academy painting, holded their charateristic respectively,taking the advantages of both yuan and song,they fomed their own style. And the style was handed down from past generation to generation,gradually became a branch. Inheriting Song Yuan and starting the Songjiang style,the style had piayed a vital role and influence on the painting inheriting, the theme choice, the style orientation,painting style changing as well as new prevailing style and so on Meanwhile the Wumen picture added the esthetic characteristic that had also increased the bright features of time, like the esthetic characteristic of secularization, putting an emphasis on the style and the esthetic orientation that the Wumen picture had presented, played a vital practical significance for us to further understand Wu men"development of the esthetic orientation of drawing and the artistic phenomenon progresses.
