Western Qing Tombs located at the foot of Yongning mountain in Yi County. As the second imperial mausoleum after Qing's entering into, the western Qing Tomb is the largest and the best preserved tomb of the imperial tombs existing and it has the most complete system. In 2000, according to the selection criteria of the World Culture Heritage, the west Qing Tomb was included in the "World Heritage List." In recent years, with its magnificent architectural style and rich cultural heritage, the western Qing Tomb attracts many tourists at home and abroad. In the hinterland of the western Qing Tomb, there lived a group of people, whose ancestors were the keepers of the Tomb. While, today they still live around the mausoleum door, but they have not to keep the tomb as volunteers. By exploiting the rich tourism resources of the tomb and taking advantage of the culture of Manchu, they operate their own life.In recent years, with the intensive study in Manchu, the scope and the works all have a breakthrough, while, including the descendants of the Qing tomb keepers, there are still some areas that no one is interested in or very few people involved, especially the descendants of western Qing Tomb keepers. In this paper, the author attempt to take Zhongyi village as an example, and describe the life of the descendants of Manchu tomb keepers, from the perspective of ethnology and use the method of field survey and documentary study. All these will be based on the use of a lot of first-hand information.This paper includes six chapters as follows:The first chapter introduces the origins and significance of the topic, the related research overview, the theory and methods, carding the information of the descents of Manchu tomb keepers.Chapter II is about the introduction of the survey area. In this chapter, the author mainly introduces the geographical environment, establishment and evolution and the national population.Chapter III introduces the history of the tomb keepers. Mainly describe the land selected of the tomb, the formation and change of the village, where the descendents of the tomb keepers live.Chapter IV is the life of the descendents of the tomb keepers. This chapter introduces the president of their live, including the situation of the agriculture and the sideline production, the consumption situation and the education.Chapter V is the heritage and development of the culture. It will put more word on the words dragon.Chapter VI is the development. This chapter mainly discusses and analysis the development of the descendents of the tomb keepers, then try to give some advises.
