Since the modern times, Philologists has paid more attention to the research of the in the QianJia Qing Period, while the"shuowen" in the late Qing Dynasty has been neglected by scholars. We may make a change about this situation. Actually, the "shuowen" in the late Qing Dynasty dose not lack some valuable things but is not paid full attention to. One of them is the "LIU SHU LEI ZHUAN"written by the scholarWu JinZhang. This paper made some comprehensive research on the valuable things of the book. We divided the paper into the following chapters:Chapter 1 conspectus. At first we introduce the aim of this research,the author and the edition of the book. Next, we analyse the style of the book and have a whole idea of it. Chapter 2, research about "LIU SHU LEI ZHUAN", including the analysis and summary of Wu's view about"Liushu" and Concurrently book theory. We point out the advantages and disadvantages. Chapter 3, siokji research of "LIU SHU LEI ZHUAN", we analyse the successive types of siokji and the existing problems, considering the book's characteristic of words. Wu didn't account siokji specially in his book, but made a list of the siokji which he thought was existing or once existed after the seal. It was not the real research, but his daring to express his opinion has some positive meaning for us to know the use of words in the society of that time. In the end, we summarize the book's characteristic and evaluate its gain and loss. In the background of the development of "shuowen", "LIU SHU LEI ZHUAN"represents the whole characteristic of the development of the research of Liushu in late Qing dynasty.By summarizing the academic achievements of the previous scholars, it attempted to find some new methods which could made a breakthrough to the researching theory of Liushu, but this task could not be resolved until the study of Chinese Philology in modern times, for the limit of the methods and time.
