School art education in our country is still in the development stage. The unevenness of art education level is caused by the regional, economic and cultural difference, etc. In western underdeveloped areas, the development of art education is relatively difficult because of the lower education level, the cognitive bias and the squeeze of the examination-oriented education. However, there is a pre-eminent middle school with good art education at these economic and educational conditions, namely, Xi'an First Railway Middle School.As a junior & senior school, Xi'an First Railway Middle School was awarded many honorary titles, such as "arts education base of Tsinghua University", "Shannxi Experimental School for Art Students of Senior High School", "Shannxi Model School for Arts Education", et al. In the Third National Arts Performances Exhibition for the primary and secondary students, the string quintet "merry evening" was awarded second prize, which was the only program of Shannxi. In the Second National Arts Performances Exhibition for the primary and secondary students, the orchestral ensemble "red flowers blooming all over the mountain", the school opera "wish" and the dancing "Green Echo" were awarded two first prizes and second prize, respectively. The orchestra team, band team, dancing team, chorus team and music team enjoy great prestige at home, and take part in many great games and music communications with other countries, such as America, Germany, Austria, Canada, etc.Art education is indispensable in our basic education and quality education, which is one of the requirements to have a wonderful life. By analyzing the development process, management mechanism and education status of Xi'an First Railway Middle School, the successful experience of art education was discussed and studied, which may provide a useful reference to the art education in Shannxi province.In the preface, the detailed analysis on the research background and significance, the current status and research contents was depicted.The chapter 2 was the overall research of the art education mode at Xi'an First Railway Middle School. Beginning with the development process of art education, the education status and the education mode were discussed, such as 2-n education mode, inside-outside class integration mode, compulsory and optional study integration mode, etc. Secondly, the management mechanism were depicted at length in the paper. Finally, the art achievements of Xi'an First Railway Middle School were presented, including the awards, the domestic and international exchanges, and the middle schools' culture construction.The chapter 3 was the enlightenment and reference of art education mode at Xi'an First Railway Middle School to other schools in Shannxi province. By summarizing and discussing the successful experience of Xi'an First Railway Middle School, new ideas on art education were proposed, which may provide a useful reference to the basic education and art education in Shannxi province.
