Intangible cultural heritage is regarded as the "living fossil" of cultural and the memory of a nation. The protection of intangible cultural heritage is crucial for getting national cultural identity and safeguarding cultural sovereignty.It helps to resist the invasion of cultural hegemony by enhancing competitive capability of national culture in international cultural competition. Most importantly, the protection of intangible cultural heritage may conduce to the diversity of world culture, which is essential for the development of civilization of human being. With the more and more countries realized the importance of protecting intangible heritage, how to protect it effectively became the most remarkable topic of today. The discussion especially focuses on whether intangible cultural heritage can be industrialized, and if it can, how to protect intangible cultural heritage by industrialization in practice.
