Currently, China is at a crucial period of social transition, in which, the interests of the original pattern is broken, unsolved problems left over by history became prominent and contradictions among the people are also presenting an unprecedented complexity and particularity. In recent years, such events involving religious problems happened occasionally that all have bad nature and serious consequence which caused some influences in international community. Because of such incidents involving our national unity and social stability, it is very important to handle properly, otherwise, the consequences would be disastrous.At present, as the domestic scholars do not pay much attention on researching involving religious level for group events, it is necessary to deepen study of the causes of religious group events. This article which begins by analyzing the characteristics and causes of religious group events of this stage in our country, through assessing the current system and policies related to prevention, made recommendations on how to improve the ability of preventing the religious group events effectively.This article mainly divided into five chapters, first, to briefly summarize for the background of group events, put forward some thoughts and methods of research, and review of research results both at home and abroad, works out developmental context in the religious group events, emphatically analyzed the present situation and characteristics to probe the causes of our religious group events and some social contradictions, and the government dispose of such problems still exist in which deviation and the insufficiency, and then put forward countermeasures and suggestions for reference.
