Public Security College Students Police Awareness

Chinese Public Security Organ is an important force in our people's democratic dictatorship; it shoulders the very significant responsibilities or missions as escorting for the reform and open policy, maintaining the stable social public order, safeguarding the people's personal safety and property as well as preventing and striking at crimes. Under the new situation in the new period, public security work's complexity and the austerity of the struggle against enemies adds new implication to our policing, to be specific, our policemen are supposed to have excellent professional skills and comprehensive qualities, namely, "drawing close to practice, the overall development of policemen, culturally well-educated to handle cases and physically capable of fighting against enemies". In addition, policemen are required to possess such qualities as the intense political awareness, the sense of responsibility, the discipline consciousness, the contribution awareness, the awareness of the masses, the sense of hardship, the awareness of innovation and so on which are critically needed for qualified policemen. Only in this way, can our policemen become expert at dealing with all kinds of complicated public security work, only in this way, can we give full play to the police missions in the new period; and only in this way can we better struggle against the enemies and better maintain social stability. Policemen's academy, as public security organ's reserves, also shoulders the great missions to cultivate the bodyguards of our own motherland, and its cultivation of police awareness will directly influence the overall quality of our people's police troop. In order to adapt the public security personnel to the increasingly higher requirements from the society, students'education in police academy is required to keep up with the current or situations in the course of the development and reform in policing. And thus we can cultivate students' police awareness and attach importance to applying what is learnt to practice. On the basis of the above-mentioned, our students will surely enforce law strictly and make their possible efforts in order to make faithful contributions to nation's development as well as the well-beings of the people.Based on understanding and grasping the domestic and foreign police present training in consciousness, the essay adopts literature material methodology, comparative research, questionnaire and the case study research method. Starting with police colleges' consciousness cultivation, it aims to find the current problems and insufficiency of students' consciousness in police colleges, with these problems to make an attribution analysis as a base to combine the principle for police consciousness cultivation and to manage to put forward cultivating measures for police consciousness. It is divided into three parts.The first part illustrates the present situation of police-college students consciousness' training, summarizes its experience, achievement, analysizes problems of motivation, value orientation, and psychological aspect, and points problems of political belief, discipline, sense of responsibility, and weak innovation spirit.The second part makes a deep attribution analysis. It concludes due to the influence of social environment and shocks, the police colleges have unbalanced education viewpoints. Its management mode and means im are single. The teacher team lacks construction. Some relevant courses haven't got enough attention. Social practice lacks reasonable planning and employment prospects are unknown. All of these leads to the above mentioned problems.The third part puts forward the measures for training and strengthening police consciousness, which is the key of the full text. According to marxist philosophical awareness initiative basis, growth rules of police students,talent cultivation objective, quality education comprehensive implementative requirements, public security education's need for development, social development and public security team construction need as the theoretical basis and actual basis, it points out the faculity and the great significance for police consciousness training. Combining these basis,from setting up "big public security" consciousness development view,Strengthen police consciousness training for teachers and management teams,adopt flexible and versatile methods. Play the role of the construction of campus culture, "typically guide, culturally training". Constructing the humanization police way in management system. Make full use of social education resources and rich education practice and reform the employment mechanism for public security colleges' graduates. From the eight aspects it discusses the counter measures of the police consciousness development.
