Marx 's Life Style Theory And Its Contemporary Significance

The issue of life style is the core of all the human development issues. Although the life style is a key part of historical materialism, compared with productivity and production mode, the theoretical researches on life style in the past is extremely not enough.Researches on the theory of Marxism lifestyle in our country have been gradually rising since 1980 s. The theoretical researches on Marxism lifestyle in the past have gained great achievements. However, after 30 years, when the achievement is rescanned, there are two major shortcomings. First, the past researches on lifestyle mainly focused on the direct description and literal explication of Marxism lifestyle, so the theoretical depth is waiting to be excavated. Second, the achievements at that time were born at the beginning of Open and Reform when life style met dramatic changes. But now the background has achieved a qualitative leap, so theories on life style needs urgent updating and innovation.Aimed at the above two shortcomings, this paper mainly focuses on the interpretation and analysis of the “reform”- a core idea in Marxism lifestyle. Compared with the static concept of “lifestyle”, its evolution and rules deserves more attention. The ultimate significance of managing the life style theories is for forecasting and holding the reform towards lifestyle in the future. Therefore, this paper is guided by the reform spirit in Marxism lifestyle, aims to analyze and interpret some related theoretical connotations such as the motility, achievement methods and manifestations. Besides, this paper will enhance the responses toward new lifestyles in the 21 st century, expatiate the sprit of “reform” left by Marx about 160 years before as well as its theoretical inspiration of the solutions to complicate social problems, and it will discuss the “reform” sprit’s theoretical guidance towards problems like cultural communication, westernization of life style and Ideological pluralism.
