A Study Of Parsons' Ecology Of Marxism

The research and construction of ecological civilization is the current issues that people concern. It comes from people’s reflection on the global ecological crisis and solve. This is a m atter of issues about human survival and sustainable development. Howard l. Parsons is a m aster in the field of ecology of Marxism.He becomes an important founder of ecology of Marxism. His representative work “Marx and Engels on ecology” is considered an important work for the European green party m ovement to theory s ystem practice of North Am erica. This paper is discussed through the introduction of the core concepts of parsons ’ thoughts, this part reveal Parsons ’ position in the entire wester n Marxism of ecology. He carried on the ecology of Marx and Engels thorough the analysis of the classic works of Marxism. He makes analysis of the “parasitic ecology of capitalism” through reference to biosphere’s “food chain”. Parsons put forward “transition from capitalism to socialism ecology" based on the criticism. His “ecology of Marxism ” has the important enlightenment function to China ’s ecological civilization construction. This paper mainly discusses Parsons’ analysis of "capitalism’s parasitic ecology" and the Marxism ecology’s criticism to the capitalism and the way for capitalism.
