For the doctrine of revolution development, can be probably divided into the following three basic frameworks: the first is to describe how revolutions occured; the second explains why revolutions happened; the third discusses why not lead to revolution. No doubt, the revolutionary research is turning to the ‘Fifth Generation Theory’ and develop progressively, namely ‘Inter-statelism’ or ‘Regionalism’.In other words, concern about the process and result of revelution from international level. As goldstone said, in revolutionary research, there are two problems are worthy of note: 1、the repression of country will lead to revolution or relaxation?2、whether the revolution will bring the stability finally?Of course, if you don’t consider foreign factors, it is difficult to answer these questions. What is more, if resistance and compromise are the strategies of citizens or social role in the country, suppress, control, negotiation and laissez-faire are the national responses to the revolutionary means, then the external force is the important variable affecting, will determine the forms of domestic structure. Moreover, the spillover effect of revolution will also re shaping the national politic. Therefore, the two problems can be further to replace with the following statement:1、before the revolution happen, how the struggle and compromise achieve the conversation in national politic?2、how the international forces impact on the course of revolution、national politic and regional political instability? This is also the main content of the thesis involved. That is to say, the ‘Fifth Generation Theory’ is expressed into the two aspects: the one is to focus on the interaction between people and government; the other is based on the perspective of analysis from domestic and international levels. To short,in the eyes of most people, revolution means a series of violent storm and unexpected events. They come heavily and always last for weeks and months, until the collapse of the old regime and the construction of the new one. About revolutionary research, the academic have main concern on ‘breakout moment’ of revolution, which causes the social revolution of the country? This forms the ‘country-center’ paradigm of revolutionary theory. The revolution attributed to the breakdown of the state, in order to reveal the structural vulnerability of the state. To some extent, the process and result of the revolutionary events deem to national power competition, the rulers have to face the challenge to many domestic and foreign competitions.Since twenty-frist century, color revolutions begin to become the dominant phenomenon of revolution, especially in Central Asia, the Middle East,Eastern Europe and North Africa, the mobilization of class struggle reduce gradually, but the election revolution are increasing, with the multinational liaison and advocacy network, non-governmental organizations also give great support. Therefore, the future of revolution may tend to produce weak democracy regime, not radical authoritarian regime.
