Investigation On Information Literacy Of Civil Servants In Municipal Government Of China

With the rapid development of Internet and information technology, Human officially entered the information age. In this background, information literacy has become one of the basic qualities of each person. In recent years, our country vigorously promote the building of informatization, and all levels of government keep pace with the times, build e-government platform to implement government management progressively. Civil servants as the main body of government affairs management work, play a leading role in the informatization construction and information work, the level of their information literacy determines the scientific and efficiency of the administrative management. Based on the above theory, in this paper, the author research information literacy situation of municipal civil servants using the combination methods of theoretical and empirical research, and make recommendations for improving information literacy of municipal civil servants. In this paper, the research work summarized as follows.Brief the background and significance of this study and summarize research status at home and abroad, and point out the contents and methods of this study and innovations in introduction. The author describes the connotation and characteristics of information literacy and the functions and characteristics of information in chapter two. Points out the necessity and summarizes the connotation of information literacy of civil servants by analyzing their occupational characteristics, and establish the metrics system of information literacy of civil servants based on the connotation in chapter three. In chapter four, investigation and analysis the situation of information literacy of municipal civil servants. Zhengzhou City, for example, designing the questionnaire, understand the situation of information literacy of municipal civil servants, and point out the characteristics and problems. According to the problems of survey questionnaire reflects, the author gives suggestions and strategies to train information literacy of civil servants in chapter five. Summary and prospect of the research work in this paper in chapter six.
