Modernity is a kind of modern phenomenon which has appeared gradually since the modern history. it is not only different from the spirit quality of the traditional society, but also shows a kind of fracture-type characteristics of the social development. it leads to a lasting transformation of society from the political and economic system to the social and cultural life, from the thinking way of the human to the behavior patterns which have taken place, as a whole ethos charm from the state is directed to a witch to open the rational enlightenment ethos of modern style. Although modernity has brought in many benefits for mankind, it also has more negative factors. it has brought many of the shortcomings of modern society and the modern civilization results in an unprecedented impact which make the human face of it that there never been confused and confusing since the human history.Modernity shaped the modern totalitarian forces which brought a comprehensive and profound individual management and control to people, the modern power technology has realized the monitoring and control to people from soul to body, the control strategy of power that the prevailing of modern rational doctrine put people to lives of extreme repression, which led to a grave oppression and harsh imprisonment to people. modern people almost live in the transparent world, all the personal information can not escape from the monitoring of the state machinery, personal life is scheduled everything like a computer program, all the accidents of life are eliminated by the modern rational spirit, people feel a deep sense of non-freedom, non-meaningful and heavy oppression.This article focuses on three important factors which shape modernity as the starting point to reflect it that modernity brought about the crisis of modern civilization.
