The practice without the scientific theory to guide is blind. The reason why Communist Party of China has been able to pass through the smoke of revolutionary war in the past 94 years, experience the baptism of flourishing building, grasp the opportunity of reform era, is that they adhere to Marxist theory together with absorbing the excellent accomplishments of human civilization. That is to say, learning activity is the important guarantee for Communist Party of China and Chinese people to achieve constant success of revolution, construction and reform. At present, China’s reform has entered the hard part and the deep water section. To achieve the goal of build a well-off society in an all-round way, we must learn to use the history as a mirror, summarize the learning experience since the founding of Chinese Communist Party and grasp all the work of the Party Building by learning solidly around the "four comprehensive " strategic layout. When we trace the history of the party in learning activities, learning activities in the early period of the reform and opening up can not be ignored. Reform and opening up is vital to the destiny of contemporary China. Learning activities of this period promote the reform and development of China effectively in the 1980 s. It has great significance for us today.Under the guidance of dialectical materialism and historical materialism, this paper analyzes the necessity and the possibility of learning activities for Chinese Communist Party in the early period of the reform and opening up using the methods of literature research, historical research, analysis and synthesis by the thinking process of the relevant material. Combining with the historical environment in the early period of the reform and opening up, sorting out learning details of the Communist Party of China, I analyze the effectiveness and problems of the learning activities in the early period of the reform and opening up in order to grasp the nature of learning activities of the Communist Party of China in the early period of the reform and opening up and guide the building of learning party, enhance the party’s ability and inject more vigor and vitality into the reform in the current new situation. Details are summarized as follows.As the opening, the first part analyzes the theoretical origin and the early practice of learning activities of the Chinese Communist Party. It proposes the influence of traditional Chinese culture and thought and Marxism classical writers on the learning activities of the Chinese Communist Party and sorts out the learning activities practice of the New Democratic Revolution and the more than 20 years since the founding of PRC.The second part mainly introduces the learning activities of the Chinese Communist Party in the early period of the reform and opening up. First of all, it analyzes the background of activities by analyzing the domestic and foreign situation in the early period of the reform and opening up, the special historical period in early period of the reform and opening up as well as the ability problem of the Chinese Communist Party at that time. Secondly, based on the study of the ideological line of seeking truth from facts, the study of the related knowledge about economic construction, the study of the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics, the study of strengthening the construction of the Party’s working style as the breakthrough point, this paper discusses the content of the learning activities of the Communist Party of China in the early period of the reform and opening up. Finally, it summarizes and sums up its achievements and shortcomings of the learning activity according to the background and content.The third part focuses on the experience and enlightenment of learning activities of the Communist Party of China in the early period of the reform and opening up. On the basis of the achievements and shortcomings of the learning activity in the early period of the reform and opening up, it proposed experience and enlightenment in five areas, which are the establishment of the belief of learning, paying attention to practical inspection, innovating learning content, strengthening the system and the creation of learning organizations.
