It reveal potential motive of both parties in this crisis. In addition, it conducts a performance analysis of the crisis management results of both parties in this crisis: Japan has attained its aim of cementing US-Japan alliance to besiege China, but the Democratic Party of Japan’s intention to win over popular will went counterproductive, failing to produce expected results; China’s response was not timely enough at the earlier stage of this crisis, but its series of measures at the mid-later stages were strong counterattacks on Japan. However, regarding Japan’s use of its own domestic law for this incident settlement, China did not make corresponding countermeasures, which would leave potential trouble on legal principle to future treatment of similar critical incidents. On the basis of case analysis, and draw on the experience from the crisis management coping mechanisms construction of America and Japan, this thesis conducts a summary and analysis of current construction situation and mode of Chinese maritime crisis management coping mechanisms and proposes the improvement suggestions so as to make up the shortcomings of current management system to some degree.
