Case Study On Social Work Intervention In Community Correction Of C Town

Community correction is a form of correction in China. It is a kind of non-custodial penalty, which is based on the premise of personality respect and targeted for criminals’resocialization and returning to society. However, more than ten years of practice indicates that our community correction faces many difficulties, which restrict the process of corrected people’s resocialization. This study attempts to research the correction work of Town C, using analysis, interviews, and participant observation. In the view of social work intervention, this study analyzes the lack of legal system, the executable unit’s over-pressure, the lack of professionalism, etc. There are many methods to resolve the difficulties of community correction, strengthening legislation, setting up a relatively independent and professional team, forming the cooperation mechanism among departments, taking more normative and effective patterns.There are several characteristics in the current relevance studies as followings: the introduction; the basic content of community correction, such as the origin, significance, current situation, core concept and research methods; the practice of Town C’s community correction; the case of Town C’s community correction, exploring its social work intervention; the introspection of the community correction process; by analyzing the case of Town C’s community correction, rethink our community correction system; the improvement and exploration of community correction; the beneficial exploration and rational suggestion on the improvement of community correction.
