Research On Social Identity Of Sanitation Workers

Sanitation workers are the city’s beautician, the professional nature of their leads to their bear some grievance and physically hard. But their contribution to society is obvious to all. They are unknown to the public of repetitive mechanical labor, we bring the city environment is neat. City sanitation workers are regarded as the underlying population city, free from the edge of city life. Living state and their survival status is often ignored. In addition, due to the traditional concept of the impact of urban environmental sanitation workers are often regarded as low lower cultural quality, the appearance of dirty second-class citizens. The causes of urban sanitation workers, lack of sense of self attribution of the city. This paper is the study of social identity of the sanitation workers. From the perspective of social identity theory, summarized the status quo of the development of social identity theory. Social identity is essential for the survival and development of the role of sanitation workers. Sanitation workers get social recognition, help they must own occupation of social value. This paper adopts the method of literature analysis, case analysis method and comparative analysis method. Like the last conclusion is groups engaged in this profession sanitation workes,the problem faced when they need to get social recognition corresponding countermeasures to solve. However, their hard work but only change had a meager income. Do not let them suffer unfair treatment which lead to extreme behavior, cause social instability. And strive to build a harmonious socialist society, and make our life more beautiful.
