At the turn of the 1980s and 1990s, with the Soviet Union and Eastern upheaval and the international communist movement into the troughs, some Western scholars claim that Marxism already can not wait to complete failure of the capitalist system will be the end of the history of human institutions. Marxist politics and theory of the state seems to have become a thing of the past. However, the Marxist theory of the state is really obsolete? The answer is clearly no. Marxist theory of the state was founded in the world had produced a huge, significant impact, we believe that this theory in the current era of academia still has its value and vitality. With the advent of the 21st century, the nation-state issue has gradually become one of the hot issues of social science. And apparently, with New National Study of Marx’s theory of the state, which will become one of our major theoretical topic in the New.And since the founding of the tortuous development of Marxist theory of the state in which the gradual completion of Chiang Kai-shek era and China. The current Chinese society is in a critical period of social transformation, social conflicts are also some new conditions and manifestations. Deep thinking and Marxist theory of the state for the proper exercise of state power, to strengthen the Party’s governing capability, and to promote political reform and anti-corruption, to uphold and improve the democratic construction and other aspects, have an important role in promoting the practice.This paper briefly divided into four parts:The first part describes the formation and development of Marxist theory of the state. First, Marx discusses the background theory of the state produced; secondly, to explain the theoretical origins of Marx’s theory of the state form; finally, describes the entire process of the formation of Marx’s concept of state.The second part discusses the basic content of Marxist theory of the state. This section includes:Origins (1) countries. Marx noted that the country is not always there, he not only as a political form of class services, but also as a tool to balance the interests of all sectors of society. (2) The functions of the state. In general, state functions can be divided into "political domination functions" and "social affairs management functions", the text of these two functions were analyzed and compared. (3) State of return. Hegel attempted to use the concept of rational norms and lead the country to civil society, Marx pointed out that it is the true foundation of civil society is the state. Then Marx pointed to the return of civil society in the country is national development. (4) National Extinction. Marx pointed out that the State is necessarily in the history of the birth, are bound to die out with the development of history.The third section briefly summarizes the basic characteristics of Marxist theory of the state. This section separately from thorough critique of Marxist theory of the state, the rigor and comprehensiveness, there must be national and the inevitable demise of a three-phase system to illustrate the characteristics of Marxist theory of the state.The fourth part of the Marxist theory of the state of contemporary significance. First we discuss the social management functions in the Marxist theory of the state significance in contemporary politics. Secondly we discussed in globalization, Marx’s theory of the state of the political structure of the nation-state significance.
