Sino - US Environmental Diplomacy: Problems And Solutions

Environmental diplomacy is one of the most important diplomacy methods in the communication among different countries. On one hand, China is the largest developing country, on the other hand, America is the most developed country in the world. The Sino-US environmental diplomacy is very typical in the current international society. This article proceeds from the environmental diplomacy history of China and U.S, and then, research the environmental diplomacy relationship between China and U.S.First, review the environmental history of China and America respectively, we found the different developing ways that China and America had gone through. Second, list the major problems in the Sino-US environmental diplomacy, including the conflicts in the global climate change and the ’Theory of Chinese environmental threat’. Third, analyze the main reasons that causing the problems in the Sino-US environmental diplomacy, including the difference in culture, politics, and national conditions. Fourth, propose solutions to the problems in the Sino-US environmental diplomacy and look ahead the development in the environmental diplomacy relationship between China and America.
