Political Variation Of Economic Problems

Four cleans movement, linking the Great Leap Forward movement and the Cultural Revolution, is a very important event in the history of the Communist Party of China(CPC). It is a class struggle called urban and rural socialist education movement that aims to combat and prevent revisionism. It happened when the Central Committee of the CPC decided to solve problems as corruption, speculation and leader’s falling to improve the relations between the people and cadres and to prevent bourgeoisie getting the power. But it went too far and too severe because of the left theory and the leader’s wrong evaluation of international relations. The event of Baiyin factory is a representative one in Four cleans movement. As the first event of large state-owned enterprise being overthrown, it had a huge impact in China.The event of Baiyin factory was the result of class struggle theory. It was in fact the rehearsal of the Cultural Revolution as it proved that the theory of class struggle was right on some point and hence enhanced the left judgment of international relations. The historical reasons of the event of Baiyin factory are very complicated. Except the special history environment, the enterprise itself also had its own economic problems in production, management and relations between worker and cadre. All these economic problems led to a political movement very quickly when they failed to be solved against the background of Four cleans movement.This thesis is based on historical files, and involves memoirs and interviews. Following the clue of time, this thesis describes the whole process and details of the event of Baiyin factory and analyses the external reasons against the history background of China in 1960 s. The target of this thesis is to review the truth of this historical event, and gives it a objective appraisal which based on the writer’s thinking of this fact.
