This thesis have mainly discussed the war between Dynasty Song and Mongolia (Dynasty Yuan) in XiangFan in the middle of the 13th century. After Dynasty Jin had ended, the border between Dynasty Song and Mongolia approximately followed the one between Dynasty SQng and Jin. If Mongolia want to capture LinAn, it must sail east along ChangJiang River. As the front door that held back Mongolia army to arrive changJiang River along Han River, XiangFan becaxe a strategic region. There are eleven textual criticisms to correct the mistakes of the historic works in this paper. This paper is divided into ten parts: Part six: This part relates the war about protecting XiangFan, which had gone through five years, and many inspiring deeds that XiangFan抯 armymen and mass heroically struggled. Part eight: It is analyzed that the reason, which Dynasty Song failed in the war, from political and military angle. Part nine:This part initially researches the national construction of Mongolian(Dynasty Yuan抯) army and national relations between south and north by simple analyses.
