Survey On The Using And Management Of Mongolian Language In Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region

Since20th century, Mongolians’lifestyle has been changing and the environment for the Mongolian language was damaged as more and more people immigrated into Inner Mongolia. Nowadays, a large number of Mongolians in Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region cannot speak Mongolian language and the number is enlarging. The development of Mongolian language is facing an awkward moment. Coming out on May1st2005, Regulations on Mongolian Language Work in Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region makes serious rules on Mongolian language’s study and education, using and management, researching, standardization and legal obligation when breaking the regulations as well. However, in daily lives, thinking little of the policies and regulations on minority languages, many people and governments do not execute the regulations and respect minority languages. As the main language in Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region, Mongolian language is going down especially in cities and towns.Taking Dong Sheng District, Ordos, Inner Mongolian as subject, the author analyzes the current situation and takes some reasonable advice for Mongolian language after making serious investigations, in order to grasp more details on the situation of its using and management in cities and towns of Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region.
