Research on the development models of the logistics enterprisesAs the advanced logistics operational model being introduced into China eventually, more and more people follow with interest the research of this area. Starting from the origin of the logistics concept and its development, this essay made an introduction of the First Party Logistics, the Second Party Logistics, the Third Party Logistics and newly developed the Forth Party Logistics and even the Fifth Party Logistics.The essay concentrates on the research of the enterprises that are in the model of the Third Party Logistics.In this essay, not only the market scale and the present situation of the overseas Third Party Logistics enterprises are introduced, especially those in the United States, Europe and Japan, there is also a detailed analysis on the environmental effects on the development of the Chinese Logistics enterprises.The essay goes further into four types of para-logistics enterprises in China. The first type includes those who are in traditional transportation business and are now heading to logistics area. There are models of wholly transform like China Post and Sinotrans. There are models of partially transform like China Rail Express and CAAC Express. The analysis of six typical enterprises leads to a result that wholly transform model takes longer time to accomplish the change and is more difficult to succeed whereas partially transform model will be easier to accomplish the goal. And the most outstanding enterprise out of the six is China Rail Express。 The second type includes those foreign enterprises in Chinese logistics market. These enterprises operate in the models of Join-venture freight forwarding companies, wholly owned storage companies, Join-venture trucking companies or multi-model of the above. There are others who take a wait-and-see attitude. Foreign enterprises are the strong competitors to the Chinese logistics companies in the future. As China succeeds in getting into WTO, these foreign enterprises will become wholly owned model in a very short time. The typical enterprises of this type are Holland Post, Dutch Post, UPS, Fedex and Nippon Express. The third type includes enterprises from other business area who are interested in logistics. There are Meilin-zhengguanghe,Beijing Xiaohongmao,Chinese big electronic enterprises,Dongfang Hongye and Sunnet。These enterprises more or less involved in logistics area while doing their own businesses. But the lack of proper way of entering into the real logistics world and the lack of deep understanding of the core concept backlogged their steps forward. The forth and the most prospective type is private logistics enterprises. This essay analyses specifically on PG Logistics,Sun-jet and ZJS. The research varies from their history, company culture to their present operation models. These enterprises are developing at a very high rate. But they are facing problems of the lack of high level managing system and channels of invest.The core competitive ability is another focus of this essay. This includes Information Technology, the re-construction of the business process,network advantages, cost advantages, human resource advantages and flexibility of multi-transport method.Information Technology is the soul of a logistics enterprise. In regards of the re-construction, the author designed a new model of setting up three hubs in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. By using freighter service flying round route airport to airport every Saturday nights, and the airport to warehouse transport be taken by the trucking service, a fast service transportation network will be set up. The realization of the plan will have profound effect on Chinese fast transport Market. The establishment of the network includes wholly owned model, Agency model and franchise model.
