This paper expose the formation and evolution of Soviet Union s Eco- nomical Pattern . With a logical and historical point of view, it analyses the conditions out of which the pattern comes into being. It touches upon the pattern s characteristics and inner contradiction . The paper proves that it s the necessary choice during the initial stages of socialist construction on which it has exerted great influence . However, due to the pattern s limitati- ons , the rigid execution has sustained a great loss to socialist construction. Therefore , the Socialist construction requires reform to overcome thost de- fects . The orrentation of reform is to establish socialist market economy sys- tem.
