With their increasing important position and their increasing remarkable promoting functions in the national economy, financing in the development of medium-small-sized enterprises has been much discussed. Due to the delayed studies both in theory and in financing in the development of medium-small-sized enterprises and the lack of a complete theoretical system, the author of this dissertation uses standard analysis with case description to make some beneficial attempts to discuss the problems aroused in financing in the development of medium-small-sized enterprises , trying to integrate theory into practice. The dissertation consists of four chapters. The author, in the first chapter___the introduction, quotes the theory in the classic economy and the developing economy about medium-small-sized enterprises and expounds their functions and roles with brilliant prospects. Medium-small-sized enterprises and large-sizes enterprises possesses their own advantages and development space because different kinds of industries require different kinds of economical sizes, with different impacts by technological creation. Yet medium-small- sized enterprises functions in promoting competition in the market place, increasing employment, expanding export, meeting a variety of needs from the market and vitalizing local economy, which can not be replaced by large-sized enterprises. With further implementation of "promoting large-sized enterprises and letting go of small ones"and China's entry to WTO, medium-small-sized enterprises are being confronted with great opportunities and severe challenges. The author, in Chapter 2, puts forward the problems aroused in medium-small-sized enterprises?financing. In the first place, the author introduces the rapid development of medium-small-sized enterprises since the economical reform of China; in the second place, the author introduces the various kinds of difficulties that they are currently facing, especially the one in financing. And then, the author, in the last section of the chapter, analyzes the causes of the difficulties in financing through external macro-economical and internal micro-economical environments. Medium-small-sized enterprises are being confronted with many difficulties: inadequate attention by the government, insufficient abilities to resist risks, financing, heavier liabilities, poorer quality of the enterprise and the lack of talents, etc., financing is the toughest one. All require the joint efforts from the government, financial sectors, services organizations and the enterprises themselves. Chapter 3 is devoted to the suggestions for, the solutions to and feasible measures for medium-small-sized enterprises?financing. The author, in this chapter, allocates several pages to elaborate the practice and characteristic features of medium-small-sized?financing in America, Britain, Japan, Italy and Taiwan of China. The sources of financing can, in practice, be classified into external sources and internal sources in the light of the sources fund comes from. External sources involve direct financing (stockholding, bond-holding, holding, funds, etc.), while internal sources involve indirect financing (credit loan, lease, instrument, etc.).When choosing how to finance, enterprises should take into consideration of status quo and development of the national economy and...
