Study On Virtual Enterprise

With the development of computer and network technology, great changes have taken place in market, internal management and production technology. Changes of organization structure of enterprises in the new era are one of the concerns in business cycles. In this paper, future enterprise organization structure at home will be discussed with help of virtual enterprise, a new form of enterprise organization structure.There are four parts of this paper.First of all, guided by the emergence and development of information economy, this paper analyzes pressures and challenges in the new century enterprises confront. Especially, with computer and network technology entering into social and economic life, fundamental changes have taken place in market environment of enterprise: customers requirements on products and service, become personalized, the traditional standard large-scale production mode can not meet demands of market development. For products, reduced cost, high quality, optimized service are required. In the meanwhile, new variations of production and management modes of enterprises have taken place: computer, network technology and other high technology have changed production base. Production modes of enterprise are tending to virtualization and flattening. Operational ideas of enterprise are guided by customers. On the basis of these changes, enterprises shift to operation mode of virtualized and networking organization. In the second part, the concept, the virtual enterprise is introduced compared with traditional forms of enterprises. From external and internal changes of enterprise as well as changes between enterprises, reasons of the virtual enterprise generation are analyzed. By comparing three different definitions of the virtual enterprise, overall definition of the virtual enterprise is summarized. Characteristics of the virtual enterprise are specified. System structure of the virtual enterprise is discussed. Organization structure form and practical operation system of the virtual enterprise are analyzed carefully. Essence of the virtual enterprise is described deeply. By comparing the virtual enterprise, the traditional large-scale production enterprise mode and multiple variations in the small batch production enterprise mode, differences of these three kinds of mode are analyzed, characteristics of the virtual enterprise are further expanded and proved.In the third part, case study is carried out. With the help of theory of the virtual enterprise, six cases are studied. Three cases are chosen abroad, they are textile industry at Pulato in Italy, Nike sports corporation, and Dell computer; and three cases at home, they are Shanxi Virtual Enterprise Eomplex, RongChang Leather Laundry and Dying Enterprise Complex, and Southwest Electronics Products Virtual Detection Center. By these studying cases, structure forms and operation approaches of virtual enterprises are further specified. Last of all, with the help of theory of the virtual enterprise, five suggestions on the development of enterprises at home and variations of organization structures are provided. At the information age, the improvement of competitive competence should be high on agenda of enterprises at home; on the basis of prerequisite for exploitation of internal resources, development of application of external resources must be conducted; with the help of organization form of virtual enterprise, a study and development strategy of new products must be carried out; with the organization structure of the virtual enterprise, supply and sales channels of enterprises must be re-constructed and organized; all kinds of service of enterprises can be improved by applying the mode of the virtual enterprise.
