With the development of computer technology, network is penetrating in economical and financial fields deeply, and the world economy is becoming global and international. The bank is facing more and more competition and challenge. Developing business on Internet is the necessary choice for the banks adjusting their business to meet the new environment. In our country, the development of E-Bank is just starting on but has made immense impact on the traditional commercial banks. There is no time to delay to learn and to develop our E-Bank. By reading materials, visiting home pages and investigating on customers, the author of this article studies on the situation of E-Bank in China, analyzes its issues and restrictive factors, prompts the development strategies of E-Bank. The article is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is the summary of E-Bank. This chapter states the concept of E-Bank, the background of its appearance and the significance of developing E-Bank. E-Bank is a virtual counter on Internet. There are two types of E-Bank: pure network E-Bank and traditional bank-related E-Bank. E-Bank is the necessary condition of the development of E-Commerce. Developing E-Bank is not only good to improve the management of commercial banks, but also good to promote economic prosperity. Through the introduction of the application of E-Bank in its cradle, the article tries hard to give readers the comprehensive view of the E-Bank. Then, by contrasting the characteristics of E-Bank with that of the traditional bank, the article analyzes the probability and the pressure of the development of E-Bank in China. The second chapter focuses on setting forth the situation of E-Bank in China. Firstly, the article gives the brief history of the development of E-Bank in our country, which include three stages, that is home pages 1 setting up stage, account inquiry stage and online financing stage. Now, most E-Banks in our country are at the initial stage. Then the chapter introduces the variety of Chinese E-Bank, which includes information issuance, retailing banking, wholesaling banking and on-line payment. This chapter emphasizes on presenting 揳ll-in-one net?of China Merchants Bank to show the characteristics of each function and introduce the particularities of the E-Bank of Bank of China and China Construction Bank. Then by comparing the three main E-Bank and other commercial banks, the article gives a clear image of the development situation of Chinese E-Bank. China Merchants Bank is predominant in the domain of E-Bank, Bank of China develops E-Bank from a higher jumping-off point, and China Construction Bank attaches most importance to E-Bank and other banks lag behind the three banks at present. There are a series of problems in our current E-Bank. The third chapter analyzes the problems and restrictive factors of the development of our E-Bank. There are no available laws and statutes on E-Bank. E-Bank brings central bank with challenge of supervision, and the inconsequential financial supervision on E-Bank restricts its development. The security problem of the online deal is serious since Internet is an opening system. There are no potent measures of technology and management to ensure the safety of the deal.
