Zibo City Water Resources Development, Utilization And Management

Zibo is one of the seriously water hortage cities in north China, rater scarcity has become the key restricting factor for its socio conomic development. By statistics, analogy, contrast and other scientific methods, this thesis systematically analyzes the present and the future of Zibo water resources development, utilization and management. It also brings out the orientation of rational utilization and scientific management in Zibo. The paper is divided into five sections: (1) Giving the general situation of water resources both in China and abroad; (2) Analyzing present situation of development and utilization of water resources in Zibo; (3) Predicting the supply and demand of water in the whole city both in 2005 and 2010 and carrying out the balance analysis. (4) Stating the significance and ways of enhancing water demand management in Zibo, including water price reform, industry structurc adjustmcnt, water right trade, reusing waste water, making water supply system perfect, etc; (5) In view of present management system that many administrative are in charge of water but efficiency is low, using the successful experience of other countries and cities in water management as reference, putting forward the reform plan of water integrated management in Ziho and the operating model of modern water enterprises . The purpose of this paper is to provide useful reference to the city development.
