As to develop and make use of the water resource is always an important issue that every country throughout the world confronts. The city we are living-Dalian is poor in water resource. With the development of the social economy,the enlarging scale of the city,the perfecting of urban comprehensive function and the improvement of people's living quality,the demand for water of the city will rapidly increase,the lack water resource must restrict the sustained growth of production of the city.Dalian as a boom city and is becoming the international city must attach much importance to developing and utilizing the water resource beginning from various aspects such as broadening sources and reducing flow. From this point we must have a definite cognition for current situation of water resource,on this basis to study the rationality of developing and utilizing the water resource and probe the ways which are appropriate for developing and utilizing the water resource of Dalian City.This thesis analyzes carefully the current and future situation of water resource in Dalian all round from the developing and utilizing the water resource to protecting and managing. And also brings out the orientation that Dalian city reasonably uses and manages the water resource and also provides the lessons to develop the city.
