Yangtze River Basin Of East-west Regional Economic Differences And Countermeasures

The regional economy between the west reach and the east of the Yangtze River is of major concern in the coordinated development in this river basin, and more important of our nation economy development as a whole. However it was the great difference in their .regional economy that has restricted the sustained, coordinated development of economy. After a detailed analysis on the current situation in relation to the different economic level and its reasons, this paper will make an inquire into providing counter measures against the existing problems and to impel the coordinated development between the two areas. Except the introduction, this paper consists of four parts: In the first part, the author review the theories on regional economy, and establish the foundation for further researches. With the method of positive analysis, the second part systematically analyzes the present situation of regional economy difference between the two reaches of the Yangtze River In the third part, this paper reaches a conclusion that the situation of different development in regional economy results from many factors, such as social ones, economic ones and so on. Finally, based on the analysis on the two parts above, this paper provides specific measures and policies to dispel the different economy development and impel the coordinated, sustained development of economy.
