With the rapid development of various modes of transportation and that the travel requirement of people is rising increasingly, the competitions in passenger traffic market become keener and keener. The railway passenger traffic faces a severe challenge.In this thesis marketing theory is recounted briefly first. Then by the analysis of competition and development in passenger traffic market, and the comprehensive evaluation of quality feature of passenger traffic products between highway, railway and air, it points out that the competitors are superior to railway in speed and convenience. The models of a solution approach for railway passenger flow attraction radius and effect evaluation of railway passenger flow attraction by speed and price are proposed.In accordance with the passenger traffic marketing situation in Changsha Railway Corporation, using the experience of railway marketing reform in other countries for reference, this paper proposes the scheme for Changsha Railway Corporation to raise their competitive power in the aspects of safety, speed, economy, punctuality, convenience and comfort.
