The New-democratic society theory (here for the theory) remains to be one of the mostimportant components of the CPC's new-democratic theory system. It is practicallysignificant to study the CPC and Mao tse-tung's new-democratic society theory and to suni upthe experience and lessons of our nation's new-democratic society practice for our profoundunderstanding our party's basic line, basic program and basic policy during the primary phase. This dissertation discussed such aspects as the formation, development, all-round practice, change of direction, as well as theoretical and practical significance of the theory. The theory mainly concerns how the nations backward in economy construct theircountries and how they prepare conditions for their transition to socialism after they gain thevictory of the democratic revolution. It has been preliminarily explored in china after theCPC's foundation. In the late 1930's, the publication of Mao tse-tung such works as ChineseReveloution and the CPC. New Democracy Theory signaled the formation of our party's new-democratic society theory. Following its formation, the theory was further enriched anddeveloped during the time between the anti-Japanese War and the foundation of the People'sRepublic of China (PRC). The theory was based on the following social and historicalconditions. Firstly, Chinese special national conditions of modern times are the basis of theformation and development of Chinese new-democratic society theory. The CPC and Mao tse-tung gradually abandoned thestrategic conception of new-democratic society phase, which were characterized by a uniquedevelopment pattern, and they advanced, accelerately put into practice the transition period'sgeneral line, selected a transition way directly toward the socialist transformation. In this way, there appeared a great turn in the developing process of the new-democratic society. That thenew-democratic society changed its direction in advance resulted from the followingobjective and subjective reasons. Objectively, the national large-scale industrializedconstruction met great difficulties. In the meantime, the international politics setup of theconfrontation between the two great camps as well as the collages of the socialism in easternEuropean countries exerted extensive influence. There were four subjective reasons. Firstly, there remained certain divergence about the understanding of new-democratic society'sprincipal contradicts and primary tasks. Secondly, our party didn't thoroughly understandLenin's transition period theory and the socialist target pattern. Thirdly, the new democracytheory conveys that two revolutions link up, which was contradicted with developing newdemocracy. Fourthly, the whole society was anxious to get rid of the capitalism and realizesthe transition from capitalism to socialism. The new-democratic society theory is not an existent conclusion originated from theclassical works, but a unique theory created by combining Ma...
